Our bow rehair service costs $55. It includes:

• Replacement of tip and frog mortise plugs
• Replacement of hair spreader wedge
• Cleaning and polishing the stick, frog, and silver or nickel parts
• a fresh hank of our unbleached, Gold Standard bowhair (other colors may be available upon request). *more below about our awesome hair
• Checking the weight, balance, camber, and straightness of the bow
• Checking the screw and eyelet-clean or replace as necessary.

If other repairs to your bow seem to be necessary, we will contact you before performing them.

 We're excited about the bow hair we've finally found. (Yeah ok, we're nerdy that way.) It has superb capabilities, and best of all it is truly not bleached. Many of the hair hanks we have purchased over the past 8-10 years will say they are "unbleached", but we find them to be bleached. That means your bow hair becomes brittle and breaks off more easily.

The hair we use now is awesome. We use it for our violin and viola bows, and most cellists; a few cellists have preferred a coarse version of the same hair.

We accept most bows for rehair, but unfortunately we are unable to rehair fiberglass bows. Bows that have been superglued are subject to an extra $15 fee.

If you are paying via credit card or paypal, please state that on the information slip. You can also give us payment information over the phone.

All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We have a discounted-rate Fedex account that you may use for shipping both ways. This gives you optimum cost and ease of service; simply provide them with your address for pickup. It's easy and quick--and inexpensive. I will call you with my account number if you want to use this service.

Don't forget to insure your package when you ship the bow!
