We're a small family stringed instrument store interested in helping you find the perfect violin, viola, cello, bass, mandolin, or "other" instrument.

We offer a wide variety of instruments to suit every type of player, from the smallest beginning fiddler to the most advanced classical orchestral player. Our specialty is listening to the needs of the player to help them find just the right instrument for their size, style -- and budget!

Accessories

We realize how difficult it is to find appropriate strings, music stands, rosin, and other accessories. We carry a full line of products to help you achieve the comfort and sound you deserve. In addition, with our string service we will let you TRY BEFORE YOU BUY -- strings are no longer a mystery!

Repairs and Restoration

We can repair your new, used, or vintage instrument. A few of the services we offer are:

• Reset sound post 
• Adjust bridge, or cut a new bridge to fit 
• Install new strings
• Touch up finish
• Clean and Polish
• Rehair bows 

 Repairing musical instruments is not for the faint of heart. It's also not for the amateur! Before you perform your own "surgery," bring it by and let us take a look. You might save yourself a lot of heartache.

Sound matters:  And we know it. No bored salesman standing around waiting here --we're musicians! At Fiddlesticks we can play the instrument for you, or let you play it so that you know what you're getting. Our new shop features a try-out room--feel free to test instruments in quiet privacy.

Service: As a full-service shop, we will give you the help you need to get the sound you want. Sometimes small adjustments make the biggest difference--and a professional can quickly locate the source of the problem. For example, switching bows, changing strings, or even replacing a chinrest makes all the difference. Even if you're the parent of a middle schooler with no knowledge of instruments, we'll help you get "educated."
